Elizabeth completed a part-time MA in International Conflict Studies at King's College London in 2013. She won a Simon O'Dwyer Russell prize for the top MA distinction within War Studies.
Her dissertation was entitled 'How does the counter-radicalisation strategy Prevent understand gender?' From October 2014 she begins a full-time ESRC-funded PhD in Defence Studies at King's, continuing work looking at gender, identity and both Islamist and far-right radicalisation.
Elizabeth has also co-authored a number of pieces on Boko Haram, gender and the kidnapping of women and is a member of the Nigeria Security Network.
